Village Hall Hiring Price Increase and Booking Condition Updates
Hiring Price Changes effective January 1, 2026.
- Regular Hirers: £20.00 per hour
- Non regular /weekend hirers: £23.00 per hour
These changes are necessary to ensure the continued maintenance and improvement of the Village Hall facilities for the benefit of all our community. We appreciate your understanding and continued support. If you have any questions, we recommend contacting the Bookings Secretary bookingsmcvillagehall@aol.com for hires taking place from this date onwards.
Updated Booking Conditions
The following conditions regarding the calculation of hire time and cancellations will be strictly applied to all bookings made for use on or after January 1, 2026:
- All Hired Hours are Chargeable: The full duration of the hours booked, as confirmed on your initial booking, will be charged. This includes time allocated for set-up, pack-down, and the event itself.
- No Amendments for Hire Time: No amendments or reductions to the final hire charge will be given for later start times or early departures. The charge will be based on the confirmed booking hours, regardless of actual use.
Cancellation Policy:
For a refund of any monies paid (excluding non-refundable deposits), cancellations must be notified in writing to the Bookings Secretary a minimum of 48 hours before the scheduled hire start date and time. Cancellations received less than 48 hours before the start time will not be eligible for refund.
We understand that changes can require adjustment, and we encourage you to carefully review these updates before making your next booking.

The 2025 AGM was held on the 27th November 2025 :
The next AGM is scheduled on May 28, 2026: All persons are welcome to attend and interested parties who are wishing to sit on the committee will be invited to stand at this point.

🌟 Shape the Heart of Our Village: Join the Committee!
We are actively seeking new members to join the Village Hall Committee.
The Hall is a vital hub for Middleton Cheney, hosting everything from fitness classes and bowls to stage performances, art exhibitions and private celebrations. Managing and maintaining this wonderful asset requires a dedicated team of volunteers—and we currently have a few crucial vacancies!
- What does the Committee do? We meet each quarter to oversee the hall's maintenance, manage bookings, handle finances, and plan future improvements.
- Who are we looking for? Anyone in the village with a little time and a lot of enthusiasm! Whether you have skills in maintenance, finance, marketing, or just enjoy being organised, your input will be invaluable.
- What's the commitment? Meetings are typically 2 hours long and usually take place every 6 to 8 weeks on a Thursdays evening. Attending meetings and assisting with or managing fundraising events is the main commitment.
